Been coming here since the 90s just for their Turkish bread, it’s the best freshest chewiest yummiest most delicious Turkish bread made on site in eastern suburbs hands down
This could be one of the great restaurants of Sydney. One problem, after the recent renovations the acoustics are really bad... the noise is echoed and amplified. They couldn't hear us make a booking! Perhaps some wall carpets could help... PS Update: the acoustic tiles have made a big difference. Thanks for your response. Upgraded this to 5 stars.
You must try the kebabs. They are really outstanding and appetizing. Best kebabs ive ever tasted so far.
Our last visit before the renovations was absolutely great. I can't wait to see how it looks now. This is mine and my partner's favourite Turkish restaurant.The menu showcased a diverse range of Turkish dishes, and I was impressed by the freshness and bold flavours.The service was prompt and courteous, enhancing the overall dining experience. It is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic taste of Turkey in a welcoming setting.
Seems I’ve been eating at this Sydney institution for nearly 20 years (well before Google reviews).Sadly a recent fire meant the restaurant closed for a while. It’s back up and running keeping the locals (and those that travel) happy.Though my go to is pide, with my favourite being peynirli for takeaway. Kebabs are also fresh and incredible. Dining in with friends and family rewards with amazing dishes across the board so tasty, eating too much is easy.I have eaten in other Turkish restaurants. This one in Surry hills is definitely the best I’ve experienced.I used to enjoy the talented men make the pide, folding the dough and adding fillings before popping in the oven for the magic. The new counter sadly doesn’t allow you to see this easily.
Recently reopened after being refurbished.The cooking area looks great.Food is delicious, and the portions are very generous.Great value for money.The waiter that served us was very kind and friendly, always with a smile on her face. 😀The other guys working in there look a little bit angry. 😳
We went for later dinner and when every restaurant was closed Erciyes was open. A very humble staff named Ahmed served us COMPLIMENTARY delicious Garlic, Cacis and Spicy dips which tasted heavenly with the breads. Everything they have is delicious. Portion size is great. A must try if you are looking for NON VEG HALAL FOOD.

After new renos, this beautiful place is now wheelchair accessible! They forever have had and still have delicious food, lovely friendly staff. Glad to see you all back!

My family have been coming here for 23 years and the food is amazing. I went on Sunday and the food is still amazing. The new renovations have made the acoustics in the restaurant un bearable I could not hear my friends talking.Did you forget to double glaze? Please fix this problem.
Got take away from here for a quick lunch for two, and are more than happy with what we’ve gotten! Service was friendly and relaxed, with a family restaurant vibe! Food was so cheap and the servings are massive (so big enough to share, or leftovers ????). Will be back over and over again!!
So glad these guys are back! Missed this authentic taste with a friendly service and the new fit our is awesome, most importantly the food is somehow even better than it was previously and the new plate presentation was great!! Where do i start..By far the best hot fresh Turkish bread and mixed dips in sydney (hummus is a must!)The pide's are delicious and you can customise your own which i like doing,the vege plate is very authentic amd tasty. The staff are very friendly and attentive,try book on the weekends fri/sat they have belly dancers are awesome and great fun! Enjoy!
